January 25, 2006 - The Hill, Elana Schor, "Bush, Congress Focus on Science."
"Fifteen manufacturing and high-tech lobbying groups, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Business Roundtable and the National Association of Manufacturers, issued a report last July imploring the Bush administration to refocus its efforts on improving the quality of science and math education and research. We are running out of scientists and engineers,' Roundtable President John Castellani said late last week. 'It will hurt our ability to be competitive in the future."
